Gorleston, Holywells and Martlesham Warehouse volunteers – donation sorting, van driving and PAT testing
Volunteer Role Description
Our Retail Centres in Gorleston, Martlesham, and Holywells Road, Ipswich receive many donations each day and these donations are processed and distributed among our shops.
We are looking for volunteers to help sort these donations.
We are also looking for assistance on our vans as either a van driver or driver’s mate to help deliver and distribute the donations to our shops throughout the East Suffolk and the Great Yarmouth & Waveney area. This role does require a degree of manual handling, as donations come in all shapes and sizes!
We also need PAT Testers to help us at Gorleston, Martlesham and Holywells Road as donated electrical goods are tested at the centres before being distributed to our shops. No experience is necessary as training will be provided.
We have a variety of shifts for all the above roles, across the week Monday to Saturday.
St Elizabeth Hospice has a volunteer mileage/expenses policy which allows volunteers to claim expenses and mileage incurred whilst carrying out their role for the hospice.
So come and join our friendly team, meet new people and learn a new skill.
