Volunteer Role Description
Emotional Support Services are looking to recruit volunteers to provide emotional support to service users at home.
Emotional Support Service Volunteers are members of the multi-professional team providing practical and emotional support to patients referred for hospice services. Volunteer support will enable the hospice to respond to an increased remit and demand on the hospice bereavement and emotional well-being services. This role requires volunteers to respond to the individual’s emotional needs as a result of a bereavement or illness by providing time and a listening space. Visits should not last more than 1 hour.

St Elizabeth Hospice has a volunteer mileage/expenses policy which allows volunteers to claim expenses and mileage incurred whilst carrying out their role for the hospice.
