St Elizabeth Hospice is delighted to announce the £2,000 top prize winner of its Spring Raffle.
The raffle was one of the charity’s most successful draws ever, raising more than £53,000 for the Hospice.
Mrs Michelle Berriman, of Ipswich, scooped the first prize on her birthday! She said: “I couldn’t believe I’d won. I’m delighted.”
More than 3,300 local people bought one or more of the £1 raffle tickets or made a donation. The raffle was launched in January and the draw was made on Friday 30th March at the Hospice.
Raffle organiser Douglas Flood said: “We would like to thank everyone who supported this raffle. You have contributed over £53,000 from buying tickets and donations, which is amazing, and this could, for example, fund a nurse at the Hospice.
“If you missed out this time you won’t have long to wait until our next raffle in May, so please support us then and good luck!”. Mr Flood also thanked the volunteers and fundraising staff who help process the raffle.
