With little over a year until St Elizabeth Hospice’s Hop to it! Suffolk 2025 art trail comes to the region, there was an early treat for trail enthusiasts as Ipswich Town Hall was lit up, on Tuesday, in Hop to it! Suffolk themed colours.
The imagery was projected by Ipswich-based projection mapping and video projection company, Motion Mapping, alongside St Elizabeth Hospice, who will be bringing the Hop to it! Suffolk 2025 art trail to the area next summer.
Liz Baldwin, Corporate and Sponsorship Fundraising Manager at St Elizabeth Hospice, said: “We hope all the visitors to Ipswich town centre enjoyed the colourful treat of seeing our Hop to it! Suffolk brand decorating the iconic town hall.
“Our thanks goes to Motion Mapping for making this possible and enabling us to sprinkle some early art trail magic for the local community and supporters to enjoy, ahead of the trail next year!
“As ever we would love to hear from any businesses, local organisations, schools and supporters, who are interested in supporting the Hop to it! Suffolk trail, as a volunteer, through sponsorship or joining our learning and community programme, Hopscotch. Do visit our website to find out how you can help.”
Following the success of Pigs Gone Wild, Elmer’s Big Parade Suffolk and the Big Hoot Ipswich 2022, Hop to it! Suffolk 2025 will be the fourth art trail hosted by the Suffolk charity in partnership with creative producers Wild in Art.
The art project will see around 38 ornately decorated hare sculptures, featuring a range of designs located across Suffolk, in Ipswich, as well as satellite locations Beccles, Lowestoft, Felixstowe and Woodbridge, all hosting two large sculptures and small sculptures in their towns.
With all previous art trails raising awareness and funds for the hospice, as well as encouraging more people to visit local shops and support local businesses, the independent Suffolk charity is hoping next year’s event will be a similar success.
Robert Pott, Sales & Marketing Manager at Motion Mapping, said: “Following the success of St Elizabeth Hospice’s Big Hoot, Elmer’s Big Parade and Pigs Gone Wild, Motion Mapping are delighted to be involved in the plans for 2025.
“We are excited to see the buzz this will bring to the town once again, which will undoubtedly raise a lot of money for a worthwhile charity.”
Through hosting Hop to it! Suffolk 2025, St Elizabeth Hospice aims to give local communities a bright, vibrant and family-friendly event to enjoy.
