A team of Hospice supporters are appealing for more people to join them to cycle from London to Paris in aid of St Elizabeth Hospice.
60 men and women have signed up for the Hospice Team 100 which will see them cycle 300 miles, over four days, to raise £100,000 for the local charity this September.
There are only 40 places left to fill, and the team already signed up are encouraging others to join them and be part of this amazing challenge.
Gavin Lamb, St Elizabeth Hospice’s Events Fundraiser, said: “The Hospice Team 100 is a brand new event for us and we have 60 excited and enthusiastic supporters already signed up to take on the challenge between 15th – 20th September to help raise £100,000 for their local Hospice – and we would love to fill the remaining 40 places.
“The team of 60 are a mixture of ages and varying cycling abilities, with some never having pedalled further than 30 miles – so if you’re interested in joining them, but unsure about your capability, there’s no need to worry – there’s others in the same boat as you.”
If you’re interested in finding out more about the Hospice Team 100, you can come along to the Information Evening at St Elizabeth Hospice, Foxhall Road, Ipswich, on Tuesday 5th May, from 6.30pm – 7.30pm.
At the Information Evening, you will have the chance to: hear first-hand how amazing and rewarding the challenge can be from supporters who have previously pedalled to Paris; meet and hear fellow Hospice Team 100 members who you will be sharing this fantastic experience with; and receive fundraising and training tips from Hospice staff.
There is no better way to take in the stunning landscapes and architecture between London to Paris, than cycling through the gorgeous cities and countryside. You will take in the beautiful sights of rural Kent, the valley of the Canche River, Spanish influenced town of Hesdin and the market square in Beauvais, before you cycle the last few miles along some of the famous boulevards of Paris and finishing by the Eiffel Tower.
