The team at St Elizabeth Care Agency are proudly celebrating their 10th anniversary this June.
The Ipswich-based organisation marked their landmark anniversary with a day of cake, balloons and plenty of flowers for staff to enjoy on Monday 12th June.
For ten years the organisation has delivered high quality, personalised support to hundreds of clients throughout Ipswich, Felixstowe, Woodbridge and surrounding areas, helping them enjoy life independently.
Sam Bojkiw, St Elizabeth Care Agency Manager, said: “I have been here since the very first day we opened and it has been a fantastic journey to be a part of.
“I am so proud of our team for how they adapted and continued to work hard to support our clients throughout Covid-19 but a real highlight was achieving our ‘Outstanding’ rating from the Care Quality Commission, which is fantastic recognition for the great work the team puts in.
“Thank you to all our wonderful clients and their families who we have supported over the last decade and also thank you to the brilliant team behind St Elizabeth Care Agency. It has been great to see the organisation evolve and I look forward to seeing how we progress for years to come.”
Established in June 2013, St Elizabeth Care Agency is a wholly owned subsidiary of independent Suffolk charity, St Elizabeth Hospice, and all profits made by the agency are donated to the hospice to further its work to improve life for people living with a progressive or life-limiting illness.
Since opening in 2013, more than £350,000 has been raised by St Elizabeth Care Agency for the hospice and in the last three years alone, over 710,000 hours of care and support has been provided to clients throughout the local community.
As well as ten years of providing high quality services, St Elizabeth Care Agency has received a Highly Commended award from the Suffolk Care Awards in 2017 and recently achieved retained their ‘Outstanding’ rating from the Care Quality Commission, after a remote inspection by health and social care services regulator in January.
This came following a full ‘Outstanding’ report in 2018 which described the St Elizabeth Care Agency care workers as ‘remarkably kind, caring and highly compassionate’, while the overall service ‘promoted the highest standards of person-centred care’.
The agency supports anyone over the age of 18, including people with learning disabilities or mental health needs. Through providing a wide range of services, such as personal care, support visits and practical domestic help at home, St Elizabeth Care Agency promotes independence by assisting people to maintain the maximum level of choice and control, meaning they can stay living comfortably in their home.
