Putting off making a will or don’t know where to start?
Well now may be the right time to get your paperwork in order as during St Elizabeth Hospice’s Make a Will Scheme participating solicitors in Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex will be donating some of their fee to the charity.
The initiative runs until November 30 and is open to people updating their will or making a new one.
St Elizabeth Hospice’s income generation manager Douglas Flood said: “We know making a will can be a difficult subject to broach but we hope our Make a Will scheme, which runs throughout September, October and November, will encourage people to get the job done.
“Those who do make a will during this time with a participating solicitor can do so in the knowledge that they will be raising money for the Hospice as half their standard fee, usually around £75 will be donated to us.”
Participating solicitors in the local area include:
Ipswich:
. Prettys (from October 1 – 31 only)
. Jackaman Smith & Mulley
. Watkins Stewart and Ross
. Ross Coates
Woodbridge:
. Gross and Curjel
. Mitchell & Co
Felixstowe and Diss:

Colchester/Brightlingsea:
. John Fowlers LLP

Mr Flood stressed there is no obligation to make a gift in a will to St Elizabeth Hospice, but explained the income the charity receives from legacies, no matter how small, enables the continued development of its services.
There will also be a Wills Awareness Evening in spring 2012 at the Hospice.
