Our first New Year’s Day Dip made such a splash that it'll be back next year!

St Elizabeth Hospice’s first ever New Year’s Day Dip was held at Gorleston-on-Sea, with over 50 brave supporters taking part to raise money and awareness of the Hospice’s activities in the Great Yarmouth and Waveney area.

It was such a success that many people pledged to take part next year too.

Event organiser Leanne Carhart said “This is the first year we have run this event, and I’m thrilled at the reception we’ve had. So many people have given up their time to come down and take part in what has been a fantastic event. Given that the Hospice only recently expanded their services into the Great Yarmouth and Waveney area, the level of support we’ve received is brilliant, and I’m already looking forward to next year’s event.”

At present, St Elizabeth Hospice provides three inpatient beds at All Hallows Hospital in Ditchingham, with day services provided from a variety of locations across the area. For the full list of services click here.

St Elizabeth Hospice is an independent charity which needs £8.7 million a year to provide local services to local people free of charge, with around three quarters of that figure coming from the local community.
