On Christmas eve, Tony Andrews visited the hospice with his wife Gemmah, but he didn’t know why.
Tony’s mum, Lesley Caron received support from the hospice before she died, and he always remarked how brilliant and lovely everyone was at such a sensitive time.
Gemmah had seen that the hospice had a memory tree and thought she would surprise Tony by buying a leaf with Lesley’s name on to go on the tree.
Gemmah said: “I thought it would be a nice thing to do in her memory and I think she would love the fact that her name is now on a wall for all to see.”
