Staff from the Co-op are donning their silliest sweaters for their local hospice this Christmas.
The Co-op on Foxhall Road, Ipswich is one of many businesses, schools and groups spreading some festive fun into their workplace by taking part in St Elizabeth Hospice’s Christmas Jumper Week from 14 – 18 December.
Mrs Janis Rinder, customer service assistant for the Co-op on Foxhall Road said: “The hospice cared for my husband, David, in June and he loved it in there and they loved him. When I read about the hospice’s Christmas Jumper Week in the paper I thought it would be a great way to give something back.
“The girls at work have been so supportive, I can’t thank them enough and we will have good fun during the Christmas Jumper Week for a great cause. We have permission to wear jumpers for four days so I want to do it all week!”
There is still time to join the Co-op and many other local groups who have signed up to the hospice’s Christmas Jumper Week.
Felicity Rook, head of fundraising at St Elizabeth Hospice said: “Signing up to the hospice’s Christmas Jumper Week is an easy way for groups to help their local hospice raise funds during the festive period and at the same time have some fun!
“The hospice is holding their Christmas Jumper Week between 14 and 18 December, and asking groups to all come together and wear their best festive knitwear during this week and donate £2 so that we can continue to ensure nobody has to face their illness alone this Christmas.”
