As the weather takes an autumnal turn and the nights draw in, one local charity is turning its mind to their Halloween fundraiser.
St Elizabeth Hospice hosted Who’s Afraid of the Park? for the first time last year and, following positive feedback, the event will be returning this year to a new venue with more waves and more scares promised.
Rebecca Jedrzejewski, events and challenges fundraiser at St Elizabeth Hospice said: “Last year was the first year we hosted a Halloween fundraiser and those who took part really loved it. We learnt a lot about what scares local people and we’ll be using this knowledge to make the event even scarier this time around.
“Who’s Afraid of the Park? is certainly not for the faint hearted. We’ve planned a route that goes through the woods of Holywells Park and there could be anything lurking round any corner. We’d love to see you there – if you dare!”
All the money raised from the event will go to St Elizabeth Hospice, enabling them to offer their service to local people living with a progressive or terminal illness, free of charge.
Tickets to the event, which isn’t suitable for those under 14, are all priced at £20 each, however those who purchase their tickets before 30 September will receive a £5 early bird discount.
