First Hospice fashion shop for young women opens

The Hospice has opened its new Chic Boutique – its first Hospice fashion shop for young women showcasing High Street labels.

The Chic Boutique is full of modern, funky, fashionable items, from dresses and jeans, to shoes, scarves and brand new handbags and is now open in the local charity’s shop in Dogs Head Street, Ipswich.

Items are in a range of styles and sizes from High Street brands including Topshop, River Island and Dorothy Perkins and some are brand new.

Cerys Packman, Shop Manager, said: “People often have the perception that charity shops only sell clothes for older people but we often get donations of good quality High Street fashion so we decided to open the Chic Boutique, a dedicated shop for younger women.

“The boutique is decorated with tables and trunks painted bright pink and black and white stripes on the walls to add a funky feel and we’ve got lots of fabulous items at great prices on sale.

“All the money from our shop goes towards providing local Hospice care for local people.”

Prices range from £1 to £20 and the boutique will be open for the foreseeable future.

St Elizabeth Hospice’s Dogs Head Street shop is open Monday to Saturday from 9am – 4.30pm.
