Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Fundraiser to join our ambitious Fundraising Team at one of the most exciting times in St Elizabeth Hospice's history.

Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser

Working within the Philanthropy & Partnerships Team, the Trusts & Foundations Fundraiser will support the development and growth of income from grant-making trusts and charitable foundations.  You will help secure funding for both the hospice’s core services and strategic priorities, including capital developments and major campaigns.

Reporting into the Senior Philanthropy & Partnerships Manager and working closely with the Head of Capital Appeal and colleagues across the organisation, you will contribute to the development of compelling funding proposals, impactful cases for support and excellent stewardship programmes that build long-term relationships with funders.

As St Elizabeth Hospice prepares for a transformational Capital Appeal and continues to expand services across east Suffolk, Great Yarmouth and Waveney, you’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to one of the most significant fundraising campaigns in the hospice’s history, gaining experience across strategic fundraising initiatives alongside day to day campaign delivery.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Compassionate, professional and emotionally intelligent.
  • Organised and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Confident communicating with a wide range of people.
  • Collaborative, enthusiastic and supportive.
  • Passionate about hospice care and the difference fundraising can make.

St Elizabeth Hospice is committed to safeguarding and protecting the adults and young people that we work with and has a zero-tolerance approach to abuse, neglect and discrimination of any person. As such, all posts are subject to a rigorous safer recruitment process, including the disclosure of criminal records and vetting checks. We have a range of robust safeguarding policies in place which promote safeguarding across the hospice and staff are expected to undertake regular, mandatory safeguarding training to equip them with the knowledge and skills to identify and respond to potential risks.

St Elizabeth Hospice is an independent charity and hospice, which improves life for people in the East Suffolk, Great Yarmouth and Waveney areas living with a progressive or life-limiting illness.  Our work is centred on an individual’s needs, which means specialist support, whenever and wherever it is needed, whether at home, in the community or at the hospice.  Support is provided to patients and their families via the Inpatient Unit,  including outpatient’s clinics, home visits from the community nursing, medical or therapy teams, the OneCall 24/7 telephone helpline and bereavement support.

Established in 1989, the hospice has built a reputation for delivering high-level care to patients and the community it serves. Last year the charity supported over 4,000 patients and their families.

In 2023, St Elizabeth Hospice merged with East Coast Hospice to form a collaborative approach to developing achievable and sustainable specialist palliative care services for people living the Great Yarmouth and Waveney area.
