This session is for clinical staff (medical, nursing and AHPs) who are directly involved in facilitating conversations and completing documentation regarding ACP/ReSPECT
If you are planning to independently complete the Clinical recommendation section including resuscitation recommendation element of the ReSPECT form, then this should be discussed with your line manager and a plan for implementation agreed prior to attending the course.
The day consists of 2 parts;
Part 1 will focus on the medico-legal framework which supports these decisions
Part 2 will re-visit your existing communication skills knowledge and with the use of role play assist you to apply this knowledge to scenarios
Part 3 for those intending to complete Clinical and resuscitation recommendation documentation independently – within 1 month of attending the session attendees will be expected to complete a reflective piece, demonstrating the knowledge and skills gained.
