For Emotional Well-being Teams in Hospices
Are you passionate about supporting caregivers of people with life-limiting illness? Join our Train the Trainer programme and gain the skills, confidence, and structure needed to deliver a Compassionate Caregivers Support Group.
The Caregivers Support Group is an evidence-informed, person-centred group programme helping caregivers to build resilience, reduce isolation, and develop self-compassion through connection, mindfulness, and creative expression.
Train the Facilitator Learning Outcomes:
- Understand the core principles of compassionate, trauma-informed group
facilitation - Confidently deliver all six sessions of the Compassionate Caregivers Support
Group - Create psychologically safe spaces that encourage openness, trust, and
connection - Use mindfulness and body-awareness techniques to support emotional
regulation - Facilitate sensitive conversations around caregiving, identity, and anticipatory
grief - Support participants experiencing distress with appropriate boundaries and
responses - Incorporate creative and reflective exercises to deepen engagement and insight
- Promote self-compassion and resilience within caregiver groups
- Manage group dynamics effectively, including diverse needs and levels of participation
- Encourage peer support and empowerment within the group setting.

- Wednesday 15th July from 09.30 am to 12.30 pm at The Education Department, St Elizabeth Hospice, 565 Foxhall Road, Ipswich, IP3 8LX
The cost of the session is £30.00 per person.

Parking
Parking is limited at both hospice sites so we ask that you park in accordance with the highway code as poor parking creates a reputational risk for the hospices with our neighbours . Due to the residential location of St Helena Hospice, please take note of restricted parking areas along with overflow parking option and footpath route to the hospice. Thank you for your consideration.
Cancellation Policy
Please contact us at the earliest opportunity. We ask for at least 48 hours’ notice for the cancellation of our courses. For cancellations within 48 hours of the event, any course fee paid will be retained. Fees will also be retained if you do not attend the session on the set date. All courses are subject to change or cancellation suitable notification will be provided.
