Volunteer Hub Distribution Driver - paused

Location: Ipswich and East Suffolk

We are now recruiting volunteer Hub distribution drivers to assist with the collection and delivery of items between hospices, private addresses, hospitals and businesses. We especially require cover for the following shifts – Wednesday mornings (09.00 to 13.00), Thursday mornings (09.00 to 13.00) and Thursday afternoons (13.00 to 17.00). We are also looking to cover the other weekday mornings (09.00 to 13.00) and afternoons (13.00 to 17.00). So if you think you can help, we would love to hear from you!

A full clean driving licence is essential for drivers and all applicants need to be age 21+.

Typical tasks include:-

  • Transporting samples and medication between the hospice and the hospital
  • Transporting PPE, syringe drivers, medication, equipment and paperwork to private addresses
  • Supporting retail with donation collections, PPE & chemical order deliveries

All volunteers will receive training to support them in their role.

St Elizabeth Hospice has a volunteer mileage/expenses policy which allows volunteers to claim expenses and mileage incurred whilst carrying out their role for the hospice.
