Hospice-based Volunteer Opportunities

Location: Ipswich

Closing Date: 16/06/2022

During the Covid-19 pandemic our care teams have been continuing care for patients in the hospice and community, but most of our volunteers roles were put on hold for the safety of patients, staff and the volunteers.

We are now working on a recovery plan that will allow us to welcome back our volunteers within a safe environment. As well as our current volunteers returning we will be looking for some new volunteers to help us fill our current and new roles. There are some volunteer roles that we are recruiting for and are now being advertised separately, so please take a look.

At the moment we don’t know when a specific role will become available, but if there’s a role you’re interested in which isn’t being advertised, we would love you to apply using the link below. On the form there is a section for a Personal Statement. Please use that box to tell us more about the type of role that interests you. We will contact you when we receive your application and let you know when the role you are interested in becomes available.

Our department managers are very supportive and will help you settle into any role you choose. Any time you can give to the hospice is gratefully received and we will be as flexible as possible with when you are able to volunteer.

In exchange for your time we can offer camaraderie, experience helping members of the public, and new skills to add to your CV..

We would love you to apply below but you can also contact us by emailing volunteer@stelizabethhospice.org.uk
