Closing Date: 27/07/2019
From June to September 2019, Ipswich is playing host to an even bigger and better art trail than when the pigs went wild in 2016; this time featuring 50 individually designed elephants based on the much loved children’s character, Elmer the patchwork elephant. At the same time, visitors can also meet our Learning Herd; around 100 ‘young Elmers’, who popped up in special locations all across town!
We are now looking for sociable, enthusiastic volunteers to be a part of our fantastic campaign – this is a unique opportunity to support your local hospice, showcase your home town and meet lots of interesting people!
Volunteers will meet and greet visitors in our Elmer HQ based in the Town Hall where visitors will come for information, and you will be telling them about the trail, selling trail maps and generally providing lots of information. If you have already been around a part of the trail so much the better. You will also be telling people about the Elmer Trail app which people will be able to download to their phones and view and track their progress around the trail.
Elmer HQ and shop is open 7 days a week from 10-4pm, with various shifts available, and full training will be given.
So if you enjoy meeting and talking to new people and are looking for something fun to do this summer, then this could be just the role for you! Use your passion for our town, our hospice and the trail to inform and inspire the community.
Please note, you must be 16+ to fulfil this role. If this role appeals to you apply on line today, call Sue Joy on 01473 707016 or email us, email@example.com and we will help you with your application.
