Midnight Walk terms and conditions

Terms and Conditions

We want to make sure you have as much fun as possible at the Midnight Walk. Please read these Terms and Conditions so you know what to expect.

The details you share through Eventbrite are for St Elizabeth Hospice and will not be distributed to any other third party. St Elizabeth Hospice may however send you news and important information about other events organised by St Elizabeth Hospice that you may be interested in if you request it.

We use photography and video to help promote the event and also to create memories for those who take part, this comes from a wide range of sources (including spectators) on a voluntary basis and is sometimes not arranged by St Elizabeth Hospice. If approached by a photographer or videographer we would ask that you participate in good spirits, however if you don't wish to be filmed or photographed just let them know when approached. We do however reserve the right to use footage or images supplied to us where you might be included.

By filling in the online form it is assumed that you have read this page and agreed to the conditions of participation by ticking the checkbox provided.

Pregnant women must consult their doctor (sharing full details of the event) before participating.

We are working in partnership with Suffolk County Councils’ Most Active County to conduct a research project into charitable sporting mass participation events. Our aim is to develop a better understanding of people’s motivations for participating in events like Midnight Walk and their physical activity pre and post event. The research will enable the hospice to fundraise more effectively in future. As such, there may be a couple of questionnaires sent to you via email from the hospice to gather some anonymous research.

There are inherent risks in any physical activity and this event is no exception. As you would expect an endurance event carries a risk of personal harm, so you need to be aware of any risks to you personally and any conditions you may have that could be exacerbated by this activity and assume personal responsibility for your participation and actions during the event.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you are in a good physical condition and able to participate in this event and if you have any doubts, then we recommend that you seek qualified medical advice before doing so.

By participating in this event, you fully accept and agree that the organisers or any person associated with this activity will not be held liable for any loss, damage or injury to you that may occur during or in connection with this activity.

The routes will be on public roads and footpaths at night and there will not be any road closures in place. It is the participant’s responsibility to amend to the Highway Code at all times.

Places are non-transferable and non-refundable so if you are unable to walk for whatever reason you must inform us as soon as possible.

St Elizabeth Hospice reserves the right to offer promotional codes and competitions whilst the event is open for registration.
