Holistic Assessment (2023)

The aims of this session are to increase knowledge and confidence in holistic assessment of palliative residents/patients.

What will I learn from this course (learning objectives)?
  • To define the term Holistic Assessment
  • To recognise the physical, emotional, social and spiritual components of holistic care.
  • Recognise the significance of care provision based on the individuality of a person, taking into account their holistic needs.
  • Demonstrate potential barriers to the provision of holistic care and how to overcome them.
