This programme focuses on the skills and awareness needed to support individuals at their end of life from a GP’s prospective.
The sessions are both informative and interactive with a good variety of activities, group discussion and sharing of practical experience in end of life care from the medical team.
Sessions will run over a 6 week period on the following dates – all sessions will run 7 – 9pm:
- 6th March
- 20th March
- 3rd April
- 24th April
- 8th May
- 22nd May
Please note sessions can not be booked on an individual basis.

- Management of common symptoms including pain; breathlessness nausea and vomiting, constipation/ malignant bowel obstruction and distress
- Use of syringe drivers
- Management of the final stages and pre-emptive prescribing
- Palliative care emergencies
