Awareness of the need for symptom management

This session is aimed at enabling you to gain a general awareness of symptom management in palliative care. You will discuss and explore how to recognising the different symptoms these could include nausea and vomiting, constipation, loss of appetite, and pain.  The session is both informative and interactive with a good variety of activities, group discussion and handouts and information to take away to help you with the identification of symptoms and suitable treatment.

Suitable for any health or social care professionals (care and nursing staff home staff, cares in the community and health care professionals) who work with life-limiting conditions or have an interest in developing their skills and knowledge around symptom management.
