Zest Group Volunteer – Tuesday X-Change Group

Volunteer Role Description

Our Zest Group supports Young Adults taking part in a variety of different activities throughout the month. These are Zest Days (every Friday 10.00 – 5.00), Tuesday evening X-Change Group (first Tuesday of the month 16:00 – 20:30), Saturday Family drop-in (monthly 13:30 – 17:00) and Short Break weekends.

We are now looking for volunteers  to support our Tuesday X-Change Zest Group. This role will provide support and companionship to young adult patients accessing hospice services and provide assistance to the team supporting the Zest Group’s activities.

This will include helping to facilitate peer support and engagement in the activities using an enabling approach and to contribute to the setting up and packing away of activities and/or events.

All volunteers will receive training to support them in their role.

St Elizabeth Hospice has a volunteer mileage/expenses policy which allows volunteers to claim expenses and mileage incurred whilst carrying out their role for the hospice.
