Shape the Future of Palliative Care: Join Our Board of Trustees
St Elizabeth Hospice is an independent charity providing exceptional care to patients and their families who are living with a progressive or life-limiting illness. Founded in 1989 initially to serve East Suffolk, we have expanded our services into Mid-Suffolk and more recently the Great Yarmouth and Waveney area.
We are seeking a new Trustee to join our board but are also keen to hear from applicants who may have the skills and experience to move into the Chair of Trustee role. This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to contribute your skills and experience to support the hospice’s strategic direction, ensuring that we continue to offer a compassionate and high-quality service to our communities into the future.
What are we looking for?
- Passion for the hospice’s mission and palliative care
- Proven leadership experience at a senior level
- Strategic vision and strong decision-making skills
- Commitment to ethical governance and fundraising
- Ability to build strong relationships and advocate for the hospice

Commitment:
- Board meetings: 7 per year
- Sub-committee membership (meet up to 5 times per year)
Attendance at meetings can be in-person or via Microsoft Teams.
Trustees are unremunerated but may claim authorised expenses.
