How much is the registration?
Registration for the first 100 people to sign up online is £18
Registration is £25 up until Midday on 15 March 2018
Registration on the day is £28

Can I register on the day?
Yes, you can register on the day. Registration opens at 8am on the 18th March 2018
Where do I sign in?
The registration desk will be based in the grounds of Copleston High School on Foxhall Road, Ipswich. Marshals will be on hand to direct you.
How old do I need to be?
The recommended minimum age is 16 however parents or guardians can use their discretion based on the child’s cycling ability. Anyone under 18 taking part must be accompanied by an adult on the challenge.
Will there be any refreshments and toilet stops along the routes?
There will be a water stop for those that are participating in the 50 mile route where there will be toilets available. You will be able to purchase hot drinks and food before and after the ride at the start/finish venue.
How long will take to complete individual routes?
This will depend on the individual speed of riders. An experienced rider should complete the 25 miles in between two and three hours plus any breaks, the 50 miles in about three to four hours plus any breaks.
Will there be GPS files given out before the event?
We shall email you the gps files after the online sales close. Online sales close at midday on 15th March 2018. Please do not contact the hospice before regarding them as they will not be given out before the above date under no circumstances.
Will it be safe?
The route will be well sign posted and first aid cover will be provided. However, please remember that there will be NO road closures and other vehicles and general public will be on the roads. There is a requirement to have a charged phone with you while on the challenge to be able to call for assistance. First aid cover is provided onsite so if you cannot complete the route, please call one of the emergency numbers and we will arrange for the vehicle to pick you up. Due to the nature of the event, there may be a waiting time to get collected depending on the area you need collecting from. If there is an emergency, 999 should be called.
Where can I park my car?
There is parking at Copleston High School. There is no charge however there is a £2 suggested donation. All monies will go to St Elizabeth Hospice.
Will the car park be secured?
We will have car park marshals manning the car parks however we advise you not to leave any valuables in the car as we do not take responsibility for any loss or damage.
What do I need to wear?
Be prepared for all weather conditions. We recommend you wear comfortable shoes and clothes with waterproof jacket in case of rain. Anyone under the age of 18 MUST wear a helmet but we strongly recommend all riders wear a helmet.

Do I need to be fit?
We do recommend you train before taking part on the day so you feel comfortable to complete the routes. Please remember this is not a race and you can take your own pace to complete the route. Do I have to raise a certain amount of money?
There is no minimum sponsorship. However we ask that you aim to raise as much money as possible. By raising £108 you could pay for four music therapy sessions to help relatives, patients and the bereaved by providing emotional release, relaxation and comfort.
How can I fundraise?
Why not set up an online fundraising page at JustGiving at https://www.justgiving.com/ you can email the link to all your friends, family and colleagues anywhere in the world and they can donate online by debit or credit card. No internet experience is necessary, it is really easy to set up and it avoids the hassle of chasing people for their sponsorship money! St Elizabeth Hospice will automatically receive any donations made via your page.
Many employers will match fund the amounts their employees fundraise. Why not speak with your employer and ask them if they will do this. It is quick and simple and won’t cost you a thing. Usually all they require is a letter from us confirming what you have raised and we will happily provide you with this.

Can I gift aid my donation?
If the person sponsoring you is a UK tax payer or pays Capital Gains Tax they can make their donation worth even more by ticking the gift aid eligibility box. For every £1 they give to us we get an extra 25p. Addresses must be on the form and be correct.
