Great East Swim 2018
Whether you're looking to try an open water swim for the first time, or you're searching for the ultimate challenge, the Great East Swim offers you a selection of distances to suit your ability.
The event takes place on Saturday 23 June in Alton Water and is a great day out for swimmers, families and spectators. With farmers' markets, plenty of musical entertainment and swim distances ranging from 250 metres right up to a 10k, there really is something for everyone!
The hospice is one of the charity partners for the 2018 event and has ten places on offer!
½ mile - £150 fundraising target
Equivalent to 32 lengths of a 25m pool. Average completion time 20 min.
Suitable for under 16s
Entrants must be 12 years old and above
1 mile - £250 Fundraising
Equivalent to 64 lengths of a 25m pool
Average completion time 40 min
Entrants must be 16 years or over
10k - £550 Fundraising
This swim will be 6 laps of the standard 1 mile course
The entry age is 18+ and anyone that enters must be able to swim 10k unaided within 4 hours
