Can you volunteer at this time?

Updated 05 November 2020

During the COVID-19 pandemic our care teams have been continuing care for patients in the hospice and community, but most of our volunteers roles were put on hold for the safety of patients, staff and the volunteers.

We are now working with departments to allow us to welcome back our volunteers within a safe environment.

In the hospice, we have a variety of roles including assistants in our inpatient unit, catering assistants, complementary therapists and gardeners who help keep our hospice garden looking welcoming for patients and visitors. At our day care unit in Beccles there are opportunities for day care assistants and complementary therapists.

Our department managers are very supportive and will help you settle into any role you choose. Any time you can give to the hospice is gratefully received and we will be as flexible as possible with when you are able to volunteer.

We also hold events to help raise funds for the hospice and always welcome people who would like to help at these events as marshals, collectors, help with refreshments etc.

If you would like to chat with one of the team first, please email volunteer@stelizabethhospice.org.uk or call 01473 707939.
