The hospice is encouraging businesses, schools and groups to get creative with their fundraising this Christmas as they dig out their favourite festive jumper to raise money for hospice care.

Woolly Pully Week is the annual festive fundraiser for St Elizabeth Hospice and encourages businesses, schools and local groups to raise money and have fun as they wear their prized pullies.

Running from Monday 9 to Sunday 15 December, the week-long event aims to raise vital funds for St Elizabeth Hospice to continue providing care and support in the local community.

This year the festive fundraiser has some fantastic prizes up for grabs to the top fundraisers. Businesses or groups which raise over £150 will be entered into a prize draw with the chance of winning a staff party at Greshams Ipswich and schools and nurseries raising over £150 will be entered into a prize draw to win £100 worth of books which have been kindly donated by BooksgoWalkabout.com.

Jazmin Peach, corporate fundraiser at St Elizabeth Hospice, said: “This year we’re encouraging businesses, schools and groups to join together in some festive FUNdraising for their local hospice.

“Last year nearly 300 classmates, colleagues, friends and families helped us raise an amazing £21,000 for St Elizabeth Hospice. We hope that this year we can encourage more people to join in and think of some new and fun ways to fundraise.

“Our fundraising pack contains lots of fun ideas for people of all ages to try, including creating Christmas themed quizzes, festive bake sales or putting a twist on your Secret Santa.

“We have some fantastic prizes for our best fundraisers and we would like to thank Greshams Ipswich and BooksgoWalkabout.com for their support.”

Gail Bosley, Senior Transport Coordinator at Maersk, said: “We’ve enjoyed getting involved in the hospice’s Ridefest activities so we’re very proud to be supporting St Elizabeth Hospice’s Woolly Pully Week.

“We wanted to give something back to the charity which does so much to support our community and has been a vital lifeline to many of our staff, their friends and their family.

“Our teams are looking forward to wearing their most colourful jumpers and have already started planning their festive activities and organizing their Woolly themed raffle.”
