Volunteer Partnership Coordinator/Recruiters

Salary: £9,101.87 – 10,831.47 (WTE: £17,066 to £20,309)

St Elizabeth Hospice improves life for people in east Suffolk living with a progressive or terminal illness. Our work is centred on an individual’s needs, which means specialist support, whenever and wherever it is needed, whether at home, in the community or at the hospice.  Through medicine and therapy we ease pain; we give life purpose and make life liveable.

You will work as a member of the Volunteer Partnership team and with some supervision & guidance, deliver an effective business support service to line managers with regards to the attraction, recruitment & retention of volunteers.

You will be required to:

  • To have a proactive approach to recruiting volunteers Develop new ways of attracting volunteers, including but not limited to ideas involving community events, marketing and advertising and schools and colleges.
  • To travel throughout Suffolk, using own vehicle, offering support and developing strong relationships with volunteers and management teams.
  • Provide advice and support to managers in relation to issues arising with volunteers.
  • Support the line managers with any investigation relating to performance or conduct issues.
