St Elizabeth Hospice improves life for people in east Suffolk living with a progressive or terminal illness. Our work is centred on an individual’s needs, which means specialist support, whenever and wherever it is needed, whether at home, in the community or at the hospice. Through medicine and therapy we ease pain; we give life purpose and make life liveable.
The Hospice provides palliative care to well over 2,000 patients a year, also their families and other providers of care. We are proud to have a strong palliative rehabilitation model that is led by our large Therapy Team. Our team of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists work across our inpatient unit, day services and in the community. We are proud to offer a large number of rehabilitation services from our fully equipped gym to patients with a life limiting illness.
We have a new and exciting role within the Therapy Team. We are looking for an experienced physiotherapist to offer excellent clinical skills as well as provide leadership to the team to continue to offer a high standard of patient care.
You will also need to be inspiring and excited about continuing to develop a rehabilitation model which impacts patient care, their experience and outcomes.
We advise you to contact Hanna McDowell, Head of Therapy on 01473 707005 or hanna.mcdowell@stelizabethhospice.org.uk to arrange an informal visit or to discuss the role in more detail before completing your application.
Our most recent Care Quality Commission report rated the hospice as “Outstanding”
