Closing Date: 14/11/2021

Could you help recruit volunteers in the Great Yarmouth and Waveney area? You don’t need a charity background, just some good I.T and admin skills, the ability to get on with a wide range of people and good written and spoken English. If you have recruitment experience or just lots of new ideas on how to increase our reach, we would love to hear from you.

What is a Recruitment Coordinator?  Our Recruitment Coordinators help us find local people interested in supporting St Elizabeth Hospice and take them through our recruitment and selection process.

Why do we need you? We are developing our services to the community in Great Yarmouth and Waveney, and need someone to create relationships with multi-disciplinary teams. To offer the best possible service to our clients we need to match the right volunteers to the right role. We’d love to hear from you if think you could help with this.

When would you be needed and where would you be based? This role is remote, with regular meetings with the team online and face to face; flexibility is key, both for you and the job, this can be discussed at interview.

What would you be doing? Working with the team to develop an inclusive recruitment programme.  Promoting local recruitment campaigns; acting as the first point of contact for all volunteering enquiries and ensuring that all potential volunteers receive a timely response; treating all potential volunteers inclusively with respect and sensitivity, regardless of age or background. Maintaining good relationships with local people, organisations and other local sources of volunteer promotion. Evaluating volunteer recruitment activity, experimenting with creative ways to recruit volunteers from a variety of sources to create a diverse network of volunteers; supporting volunteers through the recruitment and selection process and completing the admin required. Most importantly, being a positive ambassador for St Elizabeth Hospice remembering that anyone you meet could be a potential service user, volunteer or employee.

Hospice Referral Scheme – Are you employed by or do you volunteer for the hospice and know someone who would like to work here?  If you recommend a person for an advertised role, you could (subject to the employee referral policy) be eligible for up to £250!  More information can be found from the People and Culture Team.

For an informal chat about the role please contact Jemma Wood via  jemma.wood@stelizabethhospice.org.uk or 07593 447706

The hospice offers a generous holiday allowance, pension and other staff benefits.
