People and Culture (HR) Manager

Status: Permanent - 37.5 hours (5 days) per week

Salary: £45,000 per annum depending on experience

We are looking to strengthen our team and have created a new role for a People and Culture Manager.  You will report to the Head of People and Culture with day-to-day operational responsibility for the People and Culture service and team.

As the senior point of contact, you will have the opportunity to use your expertise to support complex casework and lead on service development, as well as the provision of clear and consistent employment law and best practice guidance. You will proactively manage and support the People Advisors to deliver a high quality comprehensive service to the hospice.

We offer a wide range of people services across a multi-disciplined workforce. This means you will have the opportunity to be part of a great team environment, working on all aspects of people management including innovative new people initiatives and projects.

As the ideal candidate, you are CIPD qualified with proven practical experience in the delivery of operational people management including experience of coaching and advising managers and staff on a variety of people issues.  Your approachable style and strong communication skills will enable you to work in partnership with all areas of the organisation, adapting your style to different situations.
