St Elizabeth Hospice improves life for people in east Suffolk living with a progressive or terminal illness. Our work is centred on an individual’s needs, which means specialist support, whenever and wherever it is needed, whether at home, in the community or at the hospice. Through medicine and therapy we ease pain; we give life purpose and make life liveable.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to work within our Ipswich based multidisciplinary team to provide Occupational Therapy assessment, planning, implementing and evaluation of treatments to patients with a palliative care diagnosis.  You must be a Registered Occupational Therapist with a minimum of 6 months’ post qualification experience.  This post will require working approximately one Saturday in every six, and some bank holidays, once thorough induction and competencies have been completed.

We are proud to have a strong palliative rehabilitation model that is led by our large Therapy Team. The team of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists currently work across our inpatient unit, with outpatients and in the community.

Our ideal candidate will have proven abilities to work with patients and families who have changing needs, both on an individual basis and in groups, as well as an understanding and ability to support individuals and families throughout their illness.

Our most recent Care Quality Commission report rated the hospice as “Outstanding”
