Status: Permanent - 22.5 hours per week

Salary: £26,245 - £27,598 (WTE: £43,742 - £45,996) – Band 7

The Hospice Education team across St Elizabeth Hospice and St Helena Hospice develop and deliver appropriate and cost-effective learning programmes. Working with leaders and key stakeholders, we shape, develop and deliver education and training plans and solutions in line with the business needs of the hospice and our 5-year strategic plan.

Following a period of growth, we are looking to strengthen our team and have a fantastic new opportunity for a Hospice Education Team Leader to join our busy Education team.

We are looking for a passionate, skilled and knowledgeable senior nurse or healthcare professional to manage the day-to-day smooth running of the hospice education team to develop, deliver and continually improve the education, teaching and training provided by St Elizabeth Hospice and St Helena Hospice both internally and externally.

The successful candidate will bring a breadth of clinical experience in palliative care to support the teams to professionally develop ensuring a workforce able to provide a high quality and safe service for our population, patients and their families.

Candidates must hold a degree or masters qualification in own clinical area of practice together with a teaching qualification, such as PGCert or be prepared to undertake relevant training.  Management experience in palliative care and experience of successfully planning, delivering and evaluating training and education sessions is also important for this role.
