Events and Challenges Development Officer

Salary: £9,200 - £10,352 (WTE: £23,000 – £25,880) per annum (subject to market review)

St Elizabeth Hospice improves life for people in east Suffolk living with a progressive or terminal illness. Our work is centred on an individual’s needs, which means specialist support, whenever and wherever it is needed, whether at home, in the community or at the hospice. Through medicine and therapy we ease pain; we give life purpose and make life liveable.

This role is a great opportunity to join a busy and dynamic team at St Elizabeth Hospice, promoting the programme of mass participation events and UK and overseas challenges to agreed target audiences.

Reporting to the Events and Challenges Manager, you will work to support the development and growth of events & challenges income for the Hospice.

Within this department we work in support of the whole range of income generating, marketing and relationship building initiatives. As such, whilst you will have individual activities for which you are responsible for you will regularly work with your colleagues in support of all broader fundraising initiatives.

You will be required to:

  • To identify and co-ordinate opportunities to attend external events to promote events and challenges for the hospice
  • To participate and contribute in the event planning stages identifying new opportunities and ways to reach audiences to grow events and challenges income
