In its 30th anniversary year, St Elizabeth Hospice continues to drive forward innovation and development of services, both in the Ipswich and East Suffolk locality and further up the coast to the Yarmouth and Waveney area. This investment in the medical team gives you the opportunity to be part of something special – building on the existing services and devising new services in the neighbouring locality. This beautiful area of the country supports a good work-life balance and is easily accessible to London and beyond. There are strong links with local NHS Trusts and with University of Cambridge Medical School.

Successful candidates will be appointed to a range of substantive posts incorporating hospital, hospice and community sessions according to preference – all supported by NHS Terms and Conditions – covering St Elizabeth Hospice (inpatient and community services) Ipswich Hospital or James Paget University Hospital. Full time and Part time opportunities are available, up to 4 WTE posts. Locums will be considered. Depending on recruitment, there will be approximately 1 in 9 second on call commitment, provided collaboratively with the Consultants from St Nicholas Hospice, Bury.

Applicants must be on the Specialist Register for Palliative Medicine of the General Medical Council, or should have completed a training programme leading to the CCT in Palliative Medicine (or be within 6 months of completion of a Specialty Registrar Training Programme in Palliative Medicine at time of interview).
