Substantive Consultant posts are available due to reconfiguration of services and recent expansion of the team.
After 30 years of delivering excellent care, St Elizabeth Hospice continues to drive forward innovation and development of services. These hospice post supports the development of new models of care, both in the Ipswich and East Suffolk locality and further up the coast to the Great Yarmouth and Waveney area.
This investment in the medical teams gives you the opportunity to be part of something special, building on the existing services and devising new services in the neighbouring locality. This beautiful area of the country supports a good work-life balance and is easily accessible to Cambridge, Norwich, London and beyond. There are strong links between local acute and palliative care providers and with University of Cambridge Medical School and University of East Anglia Medical School, and the new University of Suffolk with its Integrated Care Academy.
The successful candidate could deliver community, Inpatient unit or hospital sessions and if they would like, support the Young Adult Care and Transition service. They will be employed by St Elizabeth Hospice, supported by NHS Terms and Conditions. Two posts of 6 sessions are available, further sessions may be a possibility. There is strong degree of flexibility in what sessions are available and we encourage interested candidates to talk to us about their ideal job plan.
