Community Hub Manager

Status: Permanent - 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £21,740 - £24,690 per annum

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Community Hub based at Moments, Heath Road, Ipswich as a Community Hub Manager, which includes both a retail and café unit.

The ideal candidate will have proven retail management experience in a customer focused environment along with an understanding of food hygiene, cleaning and health and safety regulations and requirements.

Duties will include:

  • To take full responsibility for day to day organisation of the community hub
  • Achieve agreed financial budgets
  • Provide a high standard of customer service and satisfaction at all times to both external and internal customers
  • Set and maintain high standards of merchandising, layout and display
  • Work with and manage a team of volunteers who are integral to our business
  • To manage the café team, ensuring the highest standards are adhered to at all times

St Elizabeth Hospice are here for individuals who are living with progressive or life-limiting illnesses wherever we are needed; in their home, in the community or at the in-patient unit at our Ipswich hospice and we have to generate over 70% of our funding ourselves. Our Income generation and retail team are key in helping us achieve this.
