St Elizabeth Hospice improves life for people living with a life-limiting or incurable illness. Our work is centred on an individual’s needs, which means specialist support, whenever and wherever it is needed, whether at home, in the community or at the hospice. Through medicine and therapy we ease pain; we give life purpose and make life liveable.

With a new Director of Income Generation, this is an exciting time to join the charity and play a pivotal role in the development of a new fundraising strategy.

For a year we have been delivering specialist palliative care in the Great Yarmouth and Waveney area so we are looking to recruit a new member of the Community Fundraising Team to develop and implement plans for maximising income and support from the communities of North Suffolk and South Norfolk.

You will be required to:

  • To generate support and income from community, corporate and events income streams
  • To manage and achieve development targets, taking a lead and individual responsibility for specific projects and campaigns within the Great Yarmouth and Waveney area.
  • To build relationships with current and recruit new volunteers to aid the growth in fundraising support required in the area.
  • To proactively approach schools, groups, organisations and companies to deliver presentations and information about the hospice services.
  • To work with the Community Relationships Fundraising Manager and the Community Fundraiser to promote and develop community fundraising events & activities working to agreed KPIs.

The ideal candidate will have extensive proven work experience in the fundraising sector, marketing or new business development, and ideally a fundraising qualification.  Knowledge of the Great Yarmouth and Waveney area is essential.

Although the role is based at the Louise Hamilton Centre, there will also be travel to the head office in Ipswich required as well as some home working during the current Covid-19 pandemic. For an informal chat about the role please contact fundraising@stelizabethhospice.org.uk.

The hospice offers a generous holiday allowance, pension and other staff benefits.
