St Elizabeth Hospice improves life for people in east Suffolk living with a progressive or terminal illness. Our work is centred on an individual’s needs, which means specialist support, whenever and wherever it is needed, whether at home, in the community or at the hospice. Through medicine and therapy we ease pain; we give life purpose and make life liveable.
Are you a highly motivated team player? Would you like to develop your skills in palliative care? If so, come and make a difference at St Elizabeth Hospice!
We have our own dedicated team of nurses, however from time to time we require additional team members to ensure we continue to provide quality care within the Hospice.
We are seeking ‘Bank’ Registered Nurses with an interest in palliative care to work within our multi-disciplinary team who provide physical, psycho-social and spiritual care to patients and their families in the 18 bed In-Patient Unit in Ipswich.
As a ‘Bank’ Registered Nurse, we will call you to offer occasional shifts, this may be planned or at short notice, for a full shift or as ad hoc additional hours, so flexibility and commitment is essential.
Our ideal candidates will have 2 years post qualification experience, however newly qualified practitioners may be considered. These posts include days, nights, weekend and bank holiday working.
For more information please contact Hannah Doe, IPU Junior Sister on 01473 707000 to arrange an informal meeting/tour of the hospice and to discuss opportunities.
For more information, please see the job description and person specification.
Only applicants selected for interview will be contacted, and invitation to interview will be sent by email.
