St Elizabeth Hospice improves life for people in east Suffolk living with a progressive or terminal illness. Our work is centred on an individual’s needs, which means specialist support, whenever and wherever it is needed, whether at home, in the community or at the hospice. Through medicine and therapy, we ease pain; we give life purpose and make life liveable.
We have our own dedicated team of Occupational Therapists however from time to time we require additional team members to ensure we continue to provide quality care within the Hospice. As a bank Occupational Therapist we may call you to offer occasional shifts, this may be planned or at short notice, for a full shift or as ad hoc additional hours. Therefore we are seeking someone who is flexible and reliable. We are seeking bank Occupational Therapists to work within our Ipswich based multidisciplinary team to provide Occupational Therapy assessment, planning, implementing and evaluation of treatments to patients with a palliative care diagnosis. You must be a Registered Occupational Therapist with a minimum of 1 years post qualification experience.
We are proud to have a strong palliative rehabilitation model that is led by our large Therapy Team. The team of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists currently work across our inpatient unit, with outpatients and in the community.
The ideal candidates will have proven abilities to work with patients and families who have changing needs, both on an individual basis and in groups, as well as an understanding and ability to support individuals and families throughout their illness.
Our most recent Care Quality Commission report rated the hospice as “Outstanding”
