St Elizabeth Hospice improves life for people in East Suffolk living with a progressive or terminal illness. Our work is centred on an individual’s needs, which means specialist support, whenever and wherever it is needed, whether at home, in the community or at the hospice. Through medicine and therapy we ease pain; we give life purpose and make life liveable.
We are looking for an experienced and innovative Chef to join our team. Our Catering Team provides high quality meals for our patients, visitors and staff as well as catering for outside hospice events. Working alongside a team of Catering Assistants and volunteers, you will be responsible for the preparation of all meals served at the Hospice, including special dietary requirements, ensuring the highest standards at all times.
You will be required to:-
- To receive catering supplies and ensure that all provisions are correctly stored.
- To ensure that all catering staff (both paid and volunteers) understand and adhere to current hygiene policies and procedures at all times.
- To receive handover of food requirements, nutrition and food allergies from clinical staff and to liaise with clinical staff on a daily basis regarding any special requirements.
