• Local flower clubs kindly decorate the Hospice with beautiful flower arrangements each week. Delcie Corbett, a member of the Orwell flower club, coordinates the weekly rota so that different clubs visit the Hospice. The flowers are donated once a month by Michael Smy, a local funeral director and also the flower clubs themselves. 2009 is the 50th anniversary of the National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies (NAFAS) and to mark the occasion, clubs are organising golden flower arrangements. Two of the shop volunteers at our Selkirk Road shop are members of a flower club and are therefore putting a golden arrangement in the shop to celebrate.

Thank you to our Levington Fundraisers for raising £995 to purchase a mobility scooter to assist our patients.

Brave Emma Farrar, of Kerseys Law took up the challenge of a tandem skydive, and is on target to raise a fantastic £300 for Hospice funds. Well done Emma.

Well done to Philip Aldous, Caroline Hunt and Sheila Lowe who all had their heads shaved and raised over £1000 in memory of their friend Lucy Todd.

Peter Burt and friends raised £3500 by braving the chilly North Sea on Christmas Day.
