St Elizabeth Hospice is enthusiastic about palliative care education and is committed to constantly improving services to patients and their relatives through a programme of staff education and training.
We aim to provide knowledgeable and informative speakers and facilitators in a welcoming, informal environment.
Our education strategy aims to:
- Enhance the skills and knowledge of other healthcare professionals and agencies providing palliative care within the surrounding community.
- Ensure that education and development needs are linked to the Hospice Business Plan taking into account relevant publication, documentation and legislative measures
- Provide all staff and volunteers with skills and knowledge essential for effective performance in their roles
- Support relevant career development plans for staff
- Encourage, support, and when necessary, facilitate education and training sessions within the community

We would like to welcome you and your family to our Light up a Life events this Christmas. These services are open to everyone, not just those touched by hospice care, to remember their loved ones at this special time of the year.

Donate furniture to the Hospice shops
We have a van and furniture team in place ready to pick up donations from you, wherever you are in East Suffolk, to be sold in our shop at Meredith Road.
