Tribute Fund
Bereavement is one of the hardest things anyone has to face, but finding a lasting way to remember the person can be a great comfort.
At St Elizabeth Tribute Fund can be set up in your loved one's memory and can be a wonderful way to honour and celebrate the life of someone special.
The Tribute Fund is set up in the name of the person who has died. It gives you and family and friends the opportunity to raise money in your loved ones name to help support the work of St Elizabeth Hospice. Any donation however big or small can be placed in to a St Elizabeth Tribute Fund.
Some people choose to establish a Tribute Fund with the donations collected in lieu of flowers at the funeral. It can be really rewarding to see a Tribute Fund grow and there are lots of ways to contribute to a fund. Some people like to set up a monthly Direct Debit; others give single donations on poignant dates such as anniversaries and birthdays. Other ways to grow your fund include taking part in our Hospice fundraising events or doing your own fundraising. However you choose to grow your fund and when, is entirely up to you.
There are two ways to set up a St Elizabeth Tribute Fund:
Online Option
You can set up your Tribute Fund online now by visiting our dedicated Tribute Fund website.
www.stelizabethhospice.org.uk/tributefunds
Once your fund is active you will be able to upload pictures and videos, share stories, thoughts and make secure online donations directly into the fund. Anyone can view and contribute to the fund from wherever they are in the world. An online fund is a great way to get your friends and family involved with the Tribute Fund.
Offline Option
Tribute Funds can also be established offline. You can download the form below and return it to the fundraising office or email tributefunds@stelizabethhospice.org.uk to request a paper form.
Once your offline Tribute Fund is established you will receive a pack of information, including ideas for how to grow your fund and cards announcing the establishment of the fund to give to your family and friends. We will also write to you to keep you updated on your fund progress and keep you informed when we receive a donation.

Three people who have already set up St Elizabeth Tribute Funds share their stories here:
Ronnie Dawson's story
Ronnie Dawson set up a St Elizabeth Tribute Fund in memory of her daughter Carla.
Carla was just 19 when she lost her battle with cancer. "Having a fund in Carla's name will help keep her memories alive and I think she would be very proud knowing we are raising money for such a good cause which helped her enormously".
Claire Blake's story
Claire Blake set up a Tribute Fund in memory of her Grandad. "My Grandad Ray Pryke spent his final days at St Elizabeth Hospice; the care that was given was wonderful along with the support for all the family through this extremely hard time. I knew that the Hospice relied heavily on fundraising for them to provide the service they do and I wanted to help. I decided to set up a Tribute Fund in memory of my Grandad. Donating in this way enables me to give something back to the Hospice and the Tribute Fund is a lasting memory and mark of respect for my Grandad."
Sonia Mayes' story
When Jeff Page died his family new straight away they wanted to give something back to the Hospice. Within a month they had started to raise money and set up a St Elizabeth Tribute Fund in his name.
Jeff's daughter Sonia Mayes, of Felixstowe, said: "The staff at the Hospice were fantastic with my dad and the whole family. The care he received made a huge difference to us and straight after the funeral we knew we wanted to give something back."
Sonia and her sister Mandi Henderson, who co-own Happi Pets pet shop in Felixstowe, have organised a series of events since their dad died of lung cancer in 2004 aged 61. He was cared for on the in-patient unit. The events include a skydive, clairvoyant evenings, Robbie Williams and Abba tribute nights and Felixstowe's Not So Full Monty. So far they have raised over £15,000 for Jeff's Tribute fund and plan to add more as the years go on.
Sonia said: "Dad was the backbone of the family and the shop and very well known in Felixstowe so all our events have been well-supported. We have always done them in his memory but now we have set up a Tribute Fund for him. It's nice to have the name on the paper and it encourages other people who knew dad to know we are helping the Hospice now and in the future."
