East Anglian Dragon Boat Festival

Dragon boat racing is an ancient Chinese tradition and the fastest growing water activity in Britain today - as well as the most fun!

Up to 10 people paddle each 30’ boat with a drummer at the front beating time and a helm at the tail steering a straight course. No previous experience is required, just plenty of team spirit!

Gable Events has joined with St Elizabeth Hospice to bring you the seventh East Anglian Dragon Boat Festival. The Festival is open to everyone and over 40 teams are expected to battle it out over the 200m race course, watched by several thousand spectators.

With plentiful on-site parking, great facilities and ample land space for viewing and side activities, Oulton Broad and Nicholas Everett Park offer a superb venue for the Festival.

As well as the colourful and exciting races, a wide range of continuous bankside entertainment including funfair, inflatable games, children's activities, food stalls and bar
