Bowel Cancer UK
Bowel Cancer UK is a leading charity dedicated to raising awareness of bowel cancer, improving the quality of life of those affected by the disease, and, ultimately, reducing deaths from the second most common cause of cancer death in the UK, affecting men and women equally.

Colostomy Association
The Colostomy Association was set up in November 2005 to provide support, reassurance and practical information to anyone who may be about to have, or already has a colostomy. Appropriate support and advice is also provided to families and carers both before and after surgery.

Complementary Cancer Care Programme
Offers a programme of homeopathy and other complementary therapies to support well being and quality of life which may be used in conjunction with conventional cancer treatments. Referrals for outpatient or inpatient care via a patient's GP. General enquiries from health professionals and members of the public are welcomed and an education programme is running.

Digestive Disorders Foundation
Aims to fund research in order to prevent, cure or treat digestive disorders, provides information for sufferers, their families and friends and increases the knowledge of the symptoms of digestive disorders and urge those experiencing those symptoms to seek a swift diagnosis.

Ipswich Hospital
Ipswich Hospital is one of the largest general hospitals in East Anglia and provides acute healthcare services to a population of over 400,000 people. The hospital occupies a 46 acre site on the outskirts of the town and has approximately 800 beds.

Lymphoedema Support Network
The Lymphoedema Support Network (LSN) takes the lead role in educating and supporting other patients with this condition by providing a high standard of information and promoting self-help. Since its inception in 1991, when there was very little information or help available for patients, the LSN has evolved into an independent and influential charity. It is the only national patient-led organisation offering information and support to people with this condition and has a unique understanding of the patients' experience.

Lymphoma Net
A website devoted to supporting patients (and their families) with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL).

Macmillan Cancer Support
Macmillan Cancer Support improves the lives of people affected by cancer, providing practical, medical, emotional and financial support and campaign for better cancer care.

Marie Curie Cancer Care
Provideseleven in-patient centres in the UK, over 6000 Marie Curie nurses to care for people in their own homes throughout the day or night, a research institute and an education service for health professionals involved in cancer and palliative care. Admission to the centres is via GP or consultant referral through the appropriate centre director. Marie Curie nurses providing practical nursing care at home are available in most Health Authorities. The service is free of charge to patient and family.

Motor Neurone Disease Association
Advice and information for people with Motor Neurone Disease (MND), their families and professionals through national office and regional care advisers. Offers active branch network of volunteers and nationwide equipment loan service to people with MND.

Multiple Sclerosis Society
The MS Society is the UK's largest charity for people affected by Multiple Sclerosis (MS).The Society is a membership organisation but provides services to all. The Society funds MS research, runs respite care centres, provides grants (financial assistance), education and training on MS. It produces numerous publications on MS and runs a freephone specialist Helpline.

NHS Direct
NHS Direct is at the forefront of 24-hour health care - delivering telephone and e-health information services day and night direct to the public. NHS Direct has an authoritative health website, and 2004 saw the addition of the NHS Direct digital TV service - one of the largest interactive services in the UK. Over two million people now access NHS Direct every month.

Penny Brohn Cancer Care
Founded 28 years ago, today Penny Brohn Cancer Care supports many thousands of people affected by cancer through a range of therapeutic courses and information services. The charity continues to set the standard in complementary cancer care and has the backing of leading oncologists, healthcare professionals and complementary therapists.

The Terrence Higgins Trust
Terrence Higgins Trust is the leading HIV and AIDS charity in the UK, and the largest in Europe.
