What we do
St Elizabeth Hospice was established in 1989 and cares for patients in East Suffolk who have a life-limiting illness for whom the focus of care is quality of life.
Our focus is quality of life -aiming to meet all of our patients' physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual needs whilst giving support and help to family, friends and carers.
Our services include an in-patient unit, day care services, out-patient clinic, a Hospice at Home service, family support team, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and complementary therapies such as massage, reiki and aromatherapy.

This enables us to:
- Help improve the quality of life for patients by enhancing their physical, emotional, social and spiritual care
- Provide support, information and advice to relatives/carers during illness and into bereavement
- Offer advice and make recommendations on pain and symptom management and provide support to staff caring for these individuals and their relatives/carers
- Provide education to enhance skills and knowledge of all staff involved with patient care through formal and informal teaching sessions
- Participate in audit and research, and disseminate relevant findings.
